Baptism is also known as ‘christening’. It is usually performed for a young child and symbolises the introduction of a child to the Christian family; that is why it usually takes place at our All Age Worship service on the first Sunday of the month. Sometimes adults are baptised when they come to faith in our Lord, usually as a preliminary to Confirmation.
